Abstract

This paper analyzes the literature produced on the scientific productivity of authors from 1922 to June 2010. The types of documents used by researchers to share the results of their investigation are identified, as well as the most used journals and the languages used in such communication. The growth of literature produced since its beginnings in 1922 is further analyzed, the applicability of Lotka’s model to literature on Lotka’s Law itself is examined, and the most prolific authors in this line of bibliometric research are identified.
