Abstract

This paper proposes a conceptual and operational model for implementing the Dewey Decimal Classification in the organization of digital resources in digital libraries, focusing on their development structure and on the user levels according to their environment. For such purpose, we will start with the functional structure of digital libraries from the different types of users who interact in them. Then, their specific roles will be defined in connection with the collections, based on the different possible settings of the digital library and, finally, the products resulting from this process will be presented.
