Abstract

The relationship between Government policies and the territory, the region and the city has transformed over the past twenty years, mainly due to globalization, global system trends and the need to unify criteria in the search for greater equity for citizens. Thus, joint efforts were made to achieve Bogota’s articulation with the surrounding municipalities (Bogota-Bogota savannah; Bogota-Central Region, etc.), as a strategy for the sustainability of communities, the competitive development of goods and services and the generation of better living conditions based on studies that identify good practices by means of plans, projects, agreements and contracts between the Capital District, the government and the surrounding municipalities, making it possible to assess what exists and project what does not. The document first presents the basic elements presented by the original investigation, with an analysis of verification of the progress made in recent years.
