Methodological Guidelines for the Elaboration of an Ontology from a Thesaurus: Comparative Analytical Study (Phase I)

Abstract

This article is based on the undergraduate thesis entitled Methodological Guidelines for the Elaboration of an Ontology from a Thesaurus: Comparative Analytical Study (Phase I), which describes the most important aspects and results of the investigation. The structures of the thesaurus are analyzed during the fi rst phase, identifying its elements and guiding them towards the elaboration of an ontology —not including the editor and the layout––, methodically discriminating each and every tool and phase of the analysis. Finally, the conclusions and observations of the study are supplied, which will be used as a basis for the second phase, where the methodological guide will be presented.
