Abstract

This article presents, first of all, a brief description of some events that lead to the formation of professional archivists and Colombian archivist associations. Then, it makes clear what the professional colleges are and it also mentions some of their characteristics. Finally, it presents a series of moments that made possible the creation of the Colombian College of Archivists, CCA.
