Design of Electronic File Management System. Case study: Baker Mckenzie

Abstract

The objective of this work is to propose a Management System for Electronic Document Files for the company Baker Mckenzie, starting some premises and concerns that arise to manage electronic documents in the best way. The conceptual references that were assumed in the research were the archival principles and the good practices developed in the ISO to make the design of a system of management of archival electronic documents, that uses a scheme product of the investigation with three (3) phases which are: to develop the diagnosis of the current situation of electronic documentary archival information, to define the requirements and to elaborate the proposal for the electronic archival document management system (ERMS). As a conclusion, the strategic nature of the ERMS is the basis for making fundamental decisions for all types of entities.
