Student Experiences During the Performance of Professional Internship Level II

Abstract

This investigation was oriented to know about the student´s experiences of Library Science and File School of University of Zulia during their professional practices level II, and how their experiences affected the consolidation to the profile of the library science and file graduate. Using methodical qualitative, for investigating the perceptions and opinions about the relationship with their tutors, the interaction with the personnel that focus on application centers, the use of existing resources and materials and their proposals to improve the execution of this future curricular element. An interview was conducted which was validated by 3 experts, a sample of ten (10) students. Up next an analysis was conducted regarding professional practices and how they contribute to the content of the realization of the quality of the bibliotechnicions and archivologists work input considering the fact that they strengthen the profile of the students impact; the relationships that establish the transactions between the interns and the tutors busines and academically are very important to maintain the correct going of the activities; there was also a confrontational relationship between the interns and the tutors, when the interns presented optical and controversial attitudes when assigned with respective works and duties; and taken as initial counter unmeasured it was suggested that the physical aspects of the application centers were to be assured or controlled and regulated, with the presence of a certified professional in the assigned area which in this case was the area of: bibliotechnicions and archivologists. The conclusion was that students´ experiences obtain during performance of professional practices level II improve to consolidation to the profile purpose of the curricular design at EBALUZ.
