Abstract

The objective of the research was to analyze knowledge management and its sustainability infrastructure for the development of human talent at the Institute for the Control and Conservation of the Lake Maracaibo River Basin ICLAM. A Descriptive type study was carried out with a non-experimental, field, transversal design. An intentional sample of 56 subjects was taken, who answered an instrument composed of 39 multiple-choice items. The research showed that in the training processes for the development of human talent in ICLAM, the detection of needs is met. However, with respect to knowledge management, it is necessary to adjust the knowledge generation and transfer processes due to the fact that not all available resources are used. The need to strengthen the elements that make up the sustainability infrastructure for knowledge management, both human, physical and technological, could be verified.
