Technological Mediation and Appropriation of Cultural Heritage in Students of Library Science and Archivology

Abstract

The research aimed to "identify levels Zulian appropriation of cultural heritage through technological mediation by college students." The theoretical references are those of the cognitive sciences, communication and information. To identify the levels of appropriation, an interactive workshop consisted of three linked moments with the phases of appropriation of heritage, in each phase activities then assessed using rubrics to determine levels of appropriation (Low, Medium assigned developed, High). Of assigned activities, were chosen for each time and three rubrics were designed to assess the evidence of students at each of the times. For product selection, it is important that evidences the consolidation of processes for each phase. The sample was represented by (40) students from the School of Library and Archives Administration of the University of Zulia, whose competency curriculum includes a heritage cultural hub. The results point to the i phase, students are placed in a medium level of ownership in phase II they stood at a low level and the phase III at a low level as well.
